Lovely!

So it's that time again. My Baby's flight leaves at 12:30 tomorrow morning-- yes, he flies the red-eye for me :P

It was quite the day to end my work week with! So much to do with what seems, so little time. Whew! Glad that's over. I got home and cleaned like a mad woman since Chris will be staying here for the next 5 days.

We have lots to plow throw this weekend:

  • pre-marital counseling/seminar

  • pre-marital counseling session with Pastor Sid

  • get the last save-the-date cards out

  • visit Men's Warehouse for Chris' suit

  • Get "engagement" pictures done

  • check out options for setting up at the reception site

  • Plan, plan, and plan some more.

But I look forward to spending time with my Baby. It gets to be so draining sometimes to do this long distance deal! It's gonna be LOVELY come September 19th to not have to do this like this anymore.

I'll be better about posting pictures.

So 1 last thing before I head out:

You should totally head over to Whitney's lovely blog for a fun spring swap :) I already did!

Toooooodles!

Winter...

Dear Winter In Minnesota,

I love how pretty you are around Christmas time... especially with your icicles hanging from the tree branches and the snowflakes that sparkle under my feet.

Please don't take it personal that I want you gone. But... It's just so cold.

Come quickly Spring, love!

It's March already?!?!

So I know, I know, I'm lagging in posting on my bloggy-blog. I've missed it. I've also been completely busy and really just... stressed. Oy.

I can't believe it's already March! I have so much to do in regards to the wedding. We've made some progress, but that doesn't mean I've stopped worrying about every little detail. Gah!

Chris is here this Thursday! I've missed him so much and this wedding planning via long distance is taking it's toll on me. I'm uber sensitive to how he's saying things or whether or not we're doing this or that the right way. Blah. It's been a tough month. What do I do?!?! Give me some advice, girls!

I had my first fitting this past weekend. I know, super early, but the seamstress wanted to have an idea of what she's working with. She actually altered my bridesmaid dress for Pang's wedding and was fabulous! So I'm sure she'll be taking good care of me. Good news-- I actually lost 3 inches around my waist since I bought my dress!! Yay me! Now it's just a matter of maintaining my weight. I looked AMAZING in my wedding dress and cannot wait to wear it! Heehee.

Anyway. There's so much to do, I hardly know where to start.

We did figure out what we're doing for the rehearsal lunch or dinner. We're actually doing a rehearsal BBQ lunch right before rehearsal since Pastor Sid will have to leave by 5 for a Friday night wedding he's officiating. It works out well since we weren't sure how much we'd be able to dish out for the rehearsal dinner. Chris really wants to BBQ so I'm leaving that up to him. My responsibility? Finding a dress for that afternoon. haha.

I really want to show you guys my Save the Date cards. I'll have to do that. *note to self* And the invites need to be made soon here too. Chris and I are getting our engagement pictures done this weekend as well. My sister just bought new gear and does a fantastic job at photography so she'll be helping us out with that :) Chris is also bringing the studio's camera just in case Hli wants to try using it too. Yay! And yes, I've already shopped for the outfit(s). haha.

Anyway, I'll be around more often. Promise. I apologize for the MIA-ness.

Pursey Wednesday

So Whitney posted this little ditty and I thought it was so fun! Hee. So here's mine:

Lovely? Maybe. Goes with most everything I wear though :) I've never been a purse girl really. I'm the girl that buys 2 purses that I can alternate between-- dressy vs. casual and that's about it.

This lovely tote of mine is from Gap and it was their late fall line, I think, back in like... maybe November? Eeep, I don't even know. I think I got it for about $40. Well Hli did anyway. She bought it for me :P I do love it though as it's not too big and it really does match just about everything that I wear-- casually anyway.

Soooo, do this too!

Spring, maybe?

It's so nice outside. Well, for February in MN, that is. The snow seems to be leaving... flurries tonight, but no accumulation... *crosses fingers*! We've been in the low 40's the last couple days so maybe it'll be an early spring? Yayayayayayay!

So with Valentine's Day just around the corner, whatcha doin?

Chris and I have never been big with the Valentine's Day stuff, but he always makes a point to do something nice for me. We've agreed to be a little cheap this year since we're budgeting for our wedding and there's so much travelling involved. Well, Chris actually doesn't want ANYthing. I normally send him a package of his favorite snacks and I've also recorded myself singing so he could upload it to his iphone. We've been fairly simple for the most part. & we've also opted to have the 13th instead of the 14th. haha... we're kinda ridiculous sometimes :P

What do you girls normally get/do the men in your lives?

Randomees:

I miss running outside. The track bores me to tears, honestly.

Our company got audited today. Dundundun. Crazy story.

Another yucky yogurt-- Thick & Creamy Yoplait. From now on, I'm sticking with what I know.

I haven't watched much t.v. lately. Unless it's Thursday night and The Office is on.

I wish my body allowed me to have Guy Fietti *dude, how do you spell that last name??*'s job on Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives.

I miss Chris loads.

I got my car back the other day. I have to bring it back though. Alignment is off and the headlight doesn't necessarily fit, and the hood latch is loose. Ugh, what a headache.

My nieces are the best huggers.

I've started thinking about my vows already. Is it too soon?

We've yet to make real progress on my parents' bash. *Need to do*

I need to do laundry. But that'll wait until Sunday. But I like laundry.

My bed is so warm. I currently have 3 blankets on my bed. Heeeee.

Real statement that I made: "My bed is so warm. Maybe like a uterus. Well, a uterus is probably more like a hot tub..." haha... Chris said that was weird. So did Hli. And then she said it was gross...

I'm almost free of car payments. *almost*

My taxes are done.

I'm waiting for money.

I wanna stumble upon some money... any givers? :P

Friday night's young adults group was really enjoyable.

I need to get Crystal's recipe for spicy ribs. Yum.

Hummus is my new lunch fad.

I go through different lunch fads every month or so.

I miss passing out Valentine's Day cards. Even to Stinky Steve or Poopy Pam.

Wanna share some heart candies with me?

Share with me your randoms!

When all else fades, my soul with dance with You, where the love lasts forever...

So before I go into my lovely post, let me just say one thing:

This above substance is So. Gross. Ew. It may be less in calories than my beloved Yoplait brand (by 20 calories), but it does NOT taste good at all.

That is all. Regarding that anyway.

So I can't believe I haven't posted about the girls in my life who are also the attendants on my side in my wedding. I thought today would be appropriate. Just because.

Meet my sisters. My BFFsNoMatterWhat-s. My older sister PaHoua (the one on the left) is my matron of honor and also holds the wedding planner duties as well and my baby sister Hli (the one on the right) is my maid of honor. They've been there from the very beginning and even helped in coordinating the proposal with Chris to make it perfect. I love them. *sigh* Aren't we lovely?

Bridesmaids
Rache. She's from my Crown College days. We shared a crazy freshmen year & summer together. She just gets me in a different way.

Sad, I realized I don't have a picture with Lauren. She's so cute though, isn't she? She's so sweet and I was super nervous about meeting Chris' family for the first time a year & 1/2 ago, but she was SO sweet and easy to get along with & I am so excited to be part of the fam!

And I can't find my pictures with Sammy either. She's my little cousin. She's so stinkin' adorable, though isn't she? I can't wait to see her! We're so much alike, it's kinda funny.

My special attendants:

Pang. We've been friends/sisters for like 10 or 11 years now! We met at church in youth group and then we lead praise & worship together & sang in the choir together. She married my cousin last June. *sigh* She's amazing and I love her-- she's my go-to girl! This is from her fab surprise bridal shower we threw her last year.

Phoua. She's Pang's sister. We're so much alike! I love her to bits! She got married before me or Pang (Pang's older & I'm actually older than Pang) so she's the "experienced" one. haha. It took a little longer for us to hang out at first, but wow, we've come a long way and I wouldn't trade her for anything. Plus, I'm the only one she trusts borrowing her shoes cause I care about them more than even Pang does! haha.

Flower girls:
This is where it gets unbelieveably hard to narrow down what pictures to share. OMG, I love these little chipmunks.

Kayla's getting so big and tall and skinny! Such a beautiful little girl with SO much hair. It's so thick & long!

I miss Kayla as a baby, but she's grown so much and is starting to read & spells EVERY word she spots.

Now, I don't have any favorites, but Anela and I just click. She's my baby *believe me, Kayla's Hli's baby-- right from the start* I used to go see her on my way to Crown every Sunday night (going back to campus after the weekend) and just hold her. She's also the most talkative, sassy, funny, & photogenic little girl evAr.

(this one's at a carnival and she was *so* upset that we let someone draw on her face-- she picked the kitty look though-- but somehow it was our fault. haha)

(And yes, you can normally find her still eating candy. Bad, I know.)

I know, I see London, I see France... she's gonna be so mad at me someday.

Oh and she LOVES Chris.

And Meya. She is everyone's baby. Seriously. She is the most animated. And SO freakin cute. If you ask her what her name is, she always goes "meYA!" emphasizing on "YA!" and it's high pitched. So freakin cute. And she sings. Or mumbles. To the tune. Precisely. And she does have more hair now. Not by much, but she does now have hair. haha. & She does the cutest "But whyyyy?."

She loves her "Papa" (my dad). Sweetest picture ever.

In all their sweet glory.

& my amazing beau of a groom-to-be just for good measure.

We're so candid.
So now, was this post used to:

a) begin showcasing glimpses of wedding related stuff

b) pat myself on the back because I have figured out how to use Blogger foruploading images (I know! Took me long enough!!)

c) simply just to show off the pictures of my beloveds

or

d) all of the above? You decide. ;)
